Which formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, OPUS — anything the browser can decode through the Web Audio API. Output is MP3 (via lamejs) or lossless WAV.
Does the file get uploaded to a server?
No. Decoding, trimming and encoding all happen in JavaScript on your device. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads — trimming will keep working.
Is there a file size limit?
It depends on your device's RAM and the browser. Files up to 100–200 MB are usually fine. For very long recordings, desktop is recommended.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Mobile Safari and Chrome both support the Web Audio API and lamejs. On iOS, the first preview playback may need a tap (iOS policy), but trimming and export work right away.
