Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
The calendar is built from official Government of the Russian Federation decrees on day-off transfers and non-working public holidays. The data is synced via isdayoff.ru, which aggregates the official sources.
What is a short day?
A short day is a working day immediately preceding a non-working public holiday. Under article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the shift on such a day is one hour shorter — for example, 7 hours instead of 8 on a 40-hour week.
How is the monthly working-hour norm calculated?
Monthly norm = (number of working days × shift length) − (number of short days × 1 hour). Shift length is 8 hours for a 40-hour week, 7.2 hours for a 36-hour week and 4.8 hours for a 24-hour week.
When is the calendar updated for the next year?
The Russian Government usually publishes the day-off transfer decree for the following year in August–September of the current year. We update the calendar within a few days after publication.
