What is an invisible character

An invisible character is a real Unicode character that simply has no visible glyph — a zero-width space, a Korean filler character, or a blank Braille pattern. It copies and pastes like normal text, so it works for a username, status or bio that should look empty.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get an invisible name in Fortnite?

Copy the Hangul Filler character with the Copy button, open your Epic Games account name settings and paste it into the display name field — Fortnite accepts it as a normal character and the name looks blank.

Can I use an invisible character for my Steam name?

Yes — paste the copied character into the profile name field in Steam settings. If Hangul Filler gets rejected or trimmed, try Zero-Width Space or the non-breaking space instead.

Does an invisible character work as a Discord nickname?

Discord accepts Zero-Width Space and Hangul Filler in both the username and per-server nickname fields, so the entry appears empty in the member list while still being a valid name.

Why doesn't my TikTok username accept an invisible character alone?

TikTok requires at least one visible character in a username, so an invisible character works best combined with a dot or underscore, or used inside your display name and bio instead, where it can stand alone.

Why does the invisible character disappear or fail to paste?

Different platforms filter different code points: some strip plain spaces, others block combining or formatting characters. That's why we offer 5 options — if Hangul Filler fails, try ZWSP, blank Braille, NBSP or Invisible Times in order until one passes validation.

How do I check that the character actually copied?

Paste the copied text into the "Test it here" box on this page — if the counter shows a character, your clipboard worked and you can safely paste it into the target app.
