QR Code for Phone Call, SMS, and WhatsApp
One QR code — and your customer can call you, text you, or message you on WhatsApp with a single tap. Perfect for business cards, taxi stickers, flyers, and trade-show booths.
Scanning opens the phone dialer with the number ready to call.
Use international format with a country code (for example, +1, +44, +7). Spaces and dashes are stripped automatically.
How to create a contact QR code
Pick an action, type a number and an optional message — the QR code updates instantly.
1Choose an action
Call, SMS, or WhatsApp — use the toggle above the input. Each mode encodes the number into a different link format.
2Enter number and message
Always start the number with a country code (+1, +44, +7…). For SMS and WhatsApp you can pre-fill the text the customer will send.
3Download PNG
Put the resulting code on a business card, a taxi sticker, a flyer, or a banner. It works offline and never expires.
Why a contact QR code
One tap instead of dialing
Customers don't type the number — the call or chat opens immediately after scanning.
Pre-filled message
For SMS and WhatsApp you can include a template message — this dramatically increases reply rates.
Great for offline use
Business cards, storefront stickers, trade-show booths — a static code works without an internet connection on your side.
FAQ about call, SMS, and WhatsApp QR codes
What phone-number format should I use?
International format with a leading plus and country code: +15551234567. Spaces, dashes, and parentheses are fine while typing — they are stripped automatically.
How is a WhatsApp QR different from a regular phone QR?
A regular phone QR (tel:) opens the dialer. A WhatsApp QR uses the wa.me link, which opens a WhatsApp chat directly — even if the number isn't saved in the phone.
Can I pre-fill the message text?
Yes. For SMS and WhatsApp, fill in the «Message text» field. The text will appear pre-typed in the customer's app — they only need to hit Send.
Does the QR code work offline?
The code itself is static and doesn't depend on our servers. A phone call needs cellular service, and WhatsApp needs internet on the scanning phone.
Is it free for business use?
Yes — the service is completely free, with no watermarks or limits. Suitable for business cards, ads, signs, and taxi stickers.
Does a phone QR code expire?
No. It's a static QR — it contains the number directly and will keep working for as long as the phone number itself does.
