How to use the timer
Set a timer for any duration in three simple steps — no registration, no app install.
Set the duration
Type hours, minutes and seconds, or tap a preset: 5, 10 or 25 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour.
Press Start
The countdown begins. Remaining time is shown in the browser tab title, so you can switch to another window and still see it.
Wait for the alarm
When the timer reaches zero, an alarm sound plays. Press Reset to stop the sound and start over with the same duration.

The remaining time is shown right inside the browser tab title. Switch to other windows and still keep an eye on the timer.

Frequently asked questions about the timer
Will the alarm sound if the tab is minimized?
Yes, the alarm plays even when the tab is in the background — just don't close the browser. If you allow notifications when starting the timer, a system notification will also appear when time is up.
Can I use this as a Pomodoro timer (25 minutes)?
Yes. Use the dedicated "25 minutes (Pomodoro)" preset, then press Start — you'll get a classic Pomodoro interval. After the alarm, take a 5-minute break and run another cycle.
Does the timer keep accurate time if I switch tabs?
Yes. The timer is based on the actual target time, not on tick counting, so an inactive tab won't fall behind. When you return to the tab, you'll see the correct remaining time.
Can I set the timer for several hours?
Yes, the hours field supports up to 99 hours. Enter hours, minutes and seconds and press Start. Useful for slow cooking, long study sessions or extended intervals.
How do I stop the alarm when time is up?
Press the Reset button — the sound stops and the timer returns to the original duration, ready to start again. You can also simply close the tab.
Does the timer survive a page reload?
No, reloading the page resets the timer. If you're worried about closing the tab by accident, pin it (right-click the tab → Pin tab).
